One of the College’s key duties is to provide guidance to Ontario Massage Therapists on professionalism and other relevant practice issues. This guidance is provided in the College’s written policies (listed below), which articulate the College Council’s opinion on specific issues relating to the practice of Massage Therapy. These policies provide registrants with a broader explanation of practice issues than can be found in the legal format of the corresponding regulation. They have been developed to protect the safety of the Ontario public. Registrants who violate College policy may be deemed to have violated a regulation, and therefore to have committed professional misconduct.
